Despite what seems to be a modest budget, the lighting and technical aspects of the filmmaking on display here are all pretty top notch.
The young female leads are also pretty strong and the fundamental idea behind the story seems like solid starting point. Unfortunately, there's really not many more positive things I can think to add.
The way the story unfolds is completely predictable and not even slightly interesting on any level. It's pretty much the same old same old that you see in any "powers of the devil"-type horror movie.
No new ground is broken. And while the movie is far from being terrible, it's just as far away from being good and ends up as a textbook example of genre mediocrity.

No wild-eyed zealots, no borderline personalities, just…ordinary people. My only real quibble is the casting of Neil Hamilton as the villain.
He seems to have been rather a one-note talent; his demeanor throughout the movie, whether fronting the doll shop or presiding over potential human sacrifice, is rather bland.

There is also a "mother hen"who oversees the girls. No spoilers here! We meet the various girls, and we lose a few of the girls. You'll see!
Some of the girls believe in spirits and ghosts. Do they have reason to? There is a hidden past to some of the staff members, and Ms.
Cross cleverly uses this fact to led us the climax of the story. Well done story. It actually reminded me of horror novels and short stories from the 's and 's.

The owner Kane is a vicious man. Terrible things happen. I won't say any more - it was a great book. I loved it.
A good suspenseful story. Ivy is sent to a school for pregnant girls. She deals with a sadistic headmaster. In this story, people are more terrifying than the ghosts.
Two girls are dead, and their ghosts have been seen. Despite her fear, Ivy is determined to discover the mysteries of their deaths, and survive a very evil man.

I've yet to hear of one that legitimately helped those they were to help. And while this may not be a historical recantation, I bet it's not really that far off.

A cheap and cheerful piece of '60s Satanic horror, The Devil's Hand is undemanding drive-in fodder that benefits from a brisk pace and a not-too-long running time , reasonable performances, and a fun plot that includes voodoo, bongo drums, a traitor in the cult's midst, ritualistic gyrating, Russian roulette with swords, and a fiery demise for the baddies at the end.
All this and a cool twangy surf guitar number during the opening credits make for a reasonably fun, if not all that memorable, time.
Favourite moment: when Rick sneaks into the doll shop, a front for the cult, and proceeds to make a total racket whilst bumbling around their place of worship.
