Scary Argentinian family. I love Francella he is a great actor, use to be a comic actor but can certainly do drama. Is interesting to see how things are managed in a South American Country.

The kidnaps and general conduct of the negotiations are hardly state of the art. Most of the victims are family friends and in one fatal case the kidnappers do not even disguise themselves.
The key is that the family patriach has links back into the old Junta times and the Dirty War though this is skated over.
From there on in it is as close to factual as most films can be as the authorities exercise new freedoms and some old techniques. I found it difficult to care for the lead family raising the interesting question to me anyway about why we care about the Corleones in Godfather or the Sopranos.
The performance of the last victim a 65 year old woman from a less wealthy family really makes the point about the clan. Here a scene and there an actor, but never the twain shall meet.

Quite a good foreign film and very easy to follow even with the subtitles. Gives a glimpse of what Argentina was like in the 80's.
This is not as gory as it could be thankfully considering the plot. Very good pace and directing Fascinating story with great acting and surprises along the way.
